Lola and I am so excited to see that one of my favorite luxury resorts in Virginia, Keswick Hall, will be reopening in the summer of 2021! Even more exciting is that the new owners are welcoming well-behaved four-legged guests under 60 pounds with a limit of two dogs per room. Lola has never been to Keswick and she will love exploring the expansive grounds in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Located just outside of Charlottesville in the beautiful Albemarle countryside, Keswick Hall is a 1912 Tuscan-inspired villa set on 600 acres in the heart of Virginia horse country. For years, it has been lauded as one of America’s top small resorts—known for its casual elegance and top shelf amenities.

The luxurious country resort has been both renovated and expanded, with 42 new suites and a new spa and wellness center on the way. Foodies will be thrilled to know that the resort has partnered with world class chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten for its new restaurant, and golfers already look forward to returning to the Full Cry golf course designed by Pete Dye. Add a re-designed tennis center with state-of-the-art lighting and European red clay courts, a gorgeous pool with mountain views and upscale amenities from custom chocolates and bath toiletries to Frette linens and you have a resort that’s sure to please the most discerning guests.

Visit Jefferson’s hilltop home at Monticello or one of the regions many wineries or make the short drive to Charlottesville to explore the vibrant culinary scene and do some shopping on the pedestrian-only mall.

Sign up on the resort’s website  to receive special offers and updates on the opening date.
